The Message
Living by the moment is a life-changing message about total surrender of heart and mind to God, living a life of continual fellowship, ever striving toward staying in the moment. A moment is always now! "Now is the acceptable time." God's presence is always now, and always personal in the most filial way. It is not in the past or in the future, and begins by renewing the mind, "bringing every thought to God" (IICorth.10:5). This training of the mind is a warfare of breaking inordinate and unruled habits. By bringing all the thoughts to God you are recognising His ever present presence, turning a self centeredness into an obedience which is centered in God, and at the same time establishing a moment by moment relationship with Him. In reality you are giving God your mind, trusting Him toward your best, and His best within all the areas of your life.

(January 20, 1799 – April 2, 1872) was an American philosopher, psychologist, pacifist, poet, author, and educator. He was an important figure in the holiness movement. A very helpful source which teaches about living by the moment.

Phoebe Palmer
(December 18, 1807 – November 2, 1874) was a Methodist evangelist and writer who promoted the doctrine of Christian perfection. She is considered one of the founders of the Holiness movement within Methodist Christianity.

William Boardman
(October 11, 1810 – February 4, 1886) was an American pastor, teacher, and author.
